Here is an image of Sam's 47 Ford before the restoration began:
Sam sent us an e-mail updating us on his progress here is what he had to say: "Here are a few pictures of the 47. We made some good progress during the winter but things came to a stand still the past few months. Both quarters are about 90%. We're moving on to the roof and hope to prime the entire body in the next few weeks. No one offers an aftermarket quarter for this car, so we made up a wooden jig and made our own."
Just put in new king pins and bushings and started detailing the front disc brake kit. Installed an ECI conversion that adapts 1947 spindles to intermediate GM rotors and calipers.....GREAT KIT. Pulled out the rear, tossed the leaft springs and had the old man cut off all the brackets. He also painted the bottom of the floor and te rear 1/2 of the frame. Will probably order a Chassis Engineering low-rider kit for the rear.
